i-iii. John Nesbitt suggested, on the basis of the photographs, the resolution Συμβατικίου, 'of Symbaticius'.

iv. MX, perhaps for Michael

Apparatus

In the first edition it was implied that all four capitals were identical; in fact the fourth does not have the same monogram as the other three.
