l .2, ΘΜΚΗ lapis.

l. 3, ἀνα̣θ̣[ήματος] ? or perhaps ἀνδ̣ρ̣[ιάντος]. At the end of the line perhaps a patronymic, perhaps an office.

Translation:

The Council and the People (honoured) Gaius Hosidius Iulianos, a lover of his country and a benefactor, who dedicated money for contests [ on a ?-year] cycle and to the goddess Aphrodite bequeathed (offerings) of silver inlaid with gold as set out in his will. The [?money ] for the price of the [?offering ?he gave from] [...] income; the work was overseen by Andronikos son of Pardalas [?son of Papias].

Commentary:

The same man was honoured by the gerousia in 8.38, also on the proskenion. See Roueché, loc.cit.
