Rediscovered by the NYU expedition, together with three further fragments (a. 68.709, b. 67.216, c. & d. 69.351) excavated in 1967-1969.

Apparatus

The extent of the missing space can be determined by comparison with the wording of 8.108 (=69.317).

Translation:

For Aphrodite, the gods Augusti, the People [·· c. 27 ·· and the] block of seats and the vaults: Aristokles Molossos, [son of Artemidoros], (entitled) lover of glory and lover of the city, and K[aikos Papias, son of Artemidoros (gave them); Hermas son of Aristokles [the son of Artemidoros] supervised the work in accordance with the will of Molossos, his foster-father, and also promised the third bank of seats in the auditorium.
