17. Building inscription of Helladius
Description
- Monument:
A white marble cornice block with projcting moulding (0.345 × 0.305 × 0.75).
- Text:
Inscribed on the upper fascia of the moulding (H. 0.113).
- Letters:
0.017; clear
cut, with a flowing line similar to ALA 12, 252, and 18.
- Date:
First half of the fourth century (lettering).

ἀνανεωτὴς τῆς λαμπρᾶς μητροπόλεως.
|
Translation
Helladius, the renovator of the splendid metropolis, established me also.
