174. Epitaph of Theodocius
Description
- Monument:
Two joining fragments of a white marble slab (0.29 x 017 x
0.065), with upper and right edge partly surviving. The stone appears
to have been cut down - rather than simply broken - to the left, so
that it is difficult to know what length of lines to assume.
- Text:
Inscribed across the centre of the face.
- Letters:
Very rough and irregular; 0.02-0.025.
- Date:
Sixth century or later (lettering).
