237. Epitaph of Epiphanius, bull-rearer
Description
- Monument:
A white marble panel (0.46 × 0.34 × 0.13) with worn edges; only the right side survives intact. A groove has been cut in the back.
- Text:
Cut on the face.
- Letters:
lunate, irregular, but carefully cut, av. 0.03.
- Date:
Probably fifth/sixth century (lettering).
