243. Epitaph of Zoetus
Description
- Monument:
A rectangular white marble block, with a simply moulded panel on the front face, supporting a rougly cut hemisphere - probably
cut down to serve as a Moslem tombstone. 0.35 × 0.70 × 0.325.
- Text:
Inscribed within the panel (0.23 × 0.35) which is chipped to the right.
- Letters:
Rough and irregular, 0.02-0.025.
- Date:
Fourth century or later (content).
