Deering seems to have given the texts arabic numbers, up to no. 38; the subsequent numbers, which we have assigned, and shown in italics. Leake added Roman numerals to the texts which he published. It was either he or Robert who added the CIG reference (B + a number) in pencil. The texts were copied with the notebook open, so that a text can run onto an adjacent page. F.1 and f. 17v, the first and last pages, include some inscriptions from Nysa; it may be, therefore, that they were once adjacent, and formed the 'cover' of the notebook.
