Translation:
... according] to what was decreed by the Council and the People [?set up a statue of] Marcus Aurelius Attalos, son of Artemidoros, the fifth of the name from Artemidoros son of Menippos ?Attalos, of the well-born class from ancestors who held magistracies and liturgies. He died while still a young man. Aurelia Ammia his mother set up the statue having given to the most powerful Council to provide permanent distributions a sum of money as is specified in the document of gift.
Commentary:
It may be the father of the honorand who had the second name Attalos, rather than the ancestor, Menippos
