Translation:

According to the resolutions made and by a decree (the Council and the People honoured) Ael(ius) Aur(elius) Ammianos Papias, son of M(arcus) Ael(ius) Aur(elius) Ammianos son of Papias son of Papias Maron son of Demetrios son of Antiochos, a man zealous in the affairs of his fatherland in the tradition of his forefathers, an outstanding lawyer, who carried out the foremost offices and liturgies before his age, among which even the task of Treasurer of the people. He lived with integrity and modesty as a model of excellence. He was praised for the gentleness of his character and the moderation of his life.

The erection (of the statue) was seen to by Ael(ius) Aur(elius) Papias Tatianos, his brother.
