Description

  • Monument: Lower part of a white marble panel (0.18 × 0.315 × 0.06), with sides and lower edges surviving.
  • Text: Inscribed on the face.
  • Letters: Clear and irregular, 0.025-0.035; cross-bar for abbreviation.
  • Date: Fifth-sixth century or later (lettering, content).

Translation

[...of the] ?city [...] of Christ, ?place of service.

Apparatus

l. 2: The initial Σ appears to have been damaged, but this may be an attempt to correct it to Γ. Κ is apparently corrected from Σ

l.3: Ρ appears to have been corrected from another letter, perhaps Α.
