Description:
Five fragments (two joining) from a white marble architrave with sculptural decoration and egg and dart moulding above three stepped fasciae of diminishing height; there is a decorative panel on the underside. Measurements: a: complete block, H. 0.48 × W. 2.86 × D. 0.62. b: two joining fragments, H. 0.47 × W. 1.20 × D. 0.62 and H. 0.52 × W. 0.38 × D. 0.45. c: two joining fragments, H. 0.49 × W. 1.90 × D. 0.98. d: H. 0.47 × W. 0.22 × D. 0.24; e: H. 0.43 × W. 0.52 × D. 0.25.

This is probably part of the same architectural feature as 5.303, but inscribed in only one line, on the upper fascia (H. H. 0.14).

Av. 0.09; simple, varying in height and width.

Hadrianic Baths, East Court: architrave of south portico.

Lying with the material from the French excavations in the East Court.
