11.63. Acclamation for Scholast[ikios]

- A white marble column capital, with the bust of a man protruding from it (H. 0.25 × W. 0.62 × D. 0.705). The head, which has been broken, interrupted the upper rim of the moulding.

- The inscription runs in one line on the upper rim, which is broken at the right.
- Letters:
- 0.045; tall and thin.
- Date:
- Fourth/fifth century (lettering).
- Findspot:
- City, Village: re-used in a house near the Theatre.
- Original Location:
- Unknown.
- Last recorded location:
- Museum.
- History of discovery:
- Found by the NYU expedition in 1969 during destruction of village houses (69.308).
