In one case, that of John Gandy Deering, we have prepared a catalogue and facsimiles of his entire notebook (given to us by
Madame Louis Robert after the death of her husband).
Deering only copied one of the texts presented in this particular group (no 22); but we decided to publish the whole notebook
as an example of what might be done with such material. We hope in due course to do the same with other notebooks, and to
encourage other archive holders to make their material available.
