Description

  • Monument: A smooth white marble column drum (H. 1,42, diam. 0.60).
  • Text: Painted in red paint on a white background, below the upper edge.
  • Letters: 0.045; simple; square sigma. There are some traces of further painted decoration.
  • Date: Fifth/sixth century (lettering, findspot).

  cross σχῇ πρὸς τὸ βῆμα τοῦ
  Χριστοῦ καὶ τὴν ἐωνίαν
  κρίσιν ὁ κλέπτον ἐκ τοῦ
  τόπου τούτου τί ποτε.

Translation

May he face the tribunal of Christ and the eternal judgement, he who steals anything at all from this place.
